A document filed on Monday at the federal court in Manhattan did not disclose the terms of settlement in the proposed class action, but honest lawyers and plaintiffs said they expected to seek preliminary approval soon.
Honest lawyers and plaintiffs did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The agreement was disclosed a week after the Honesty Index reached $1.

In the New York case, plaintiff Brad Buonasera accused Honest of misleading marketing at least 41 items including bubble bath, toothpaste for children, floor cleaners, laundry detergent and soap.

Buonasera said: "Some of the ingredients or labels have changed at the time of the proceedings.
In both proceedings, Honest denied the claim, saying last week that it supported the safety and effectiveness of its products.
Alba was not listed as a defendant.
