To understand the trends of cosmetic development in China, a number of beauty influencers gathered in Hang Zhou at the 2019 China Beauty Conference to exchange ideas and experiences over brands that they’ve used. ‘Reload’, the theme of this year conference, is to reengage the cosmetic industry in the brand-new eco-system. In the open dialogue, each guest expressed their views over star products and believed that by inviting actor or actress to be the spokesperson of the brand would bring an authentic experience to consumers. Fan, CEO of NBC, expressed that in the new trend of the cosmetic industry, FAN BEAUTY’s focus on facial mask is the right decision for the brand to take on the market. Such conclusion has opened up a new road for branded and star products.

When purchasing power has increased and consumption concept has matured, how to grow the market of the China-made cosmetic products was the focus of the conference. Fan pointed out at the talk ‘The supply chain of the new China-made cosmetic products’ that there are five requirements to meet facing the supply chains: quantitative, quick, excellent, economical and stable. China-made brands is suggested to take references from NBC in terms of material reserves, senses towards market change, cost-performance value and management of the system.

Apart from the affects of new market and production trends, product research and marketing of cosmetic brands were also the focuses of the discussion. Yao Xiaofeng, Vice President of NBC (Research & Development), gave speech at the symposium of ‘China Latest Development Trend of Cosmetic Products’, delivering six market trends whilst sharing the latest result of NBC’s research. In terms of product development, he explained the factors that NBC focused on, which have an emphasis on the new China-made cosmetic products, thus, becoming the direction for product innovation.

As the biggest cosmetic manufacturer, NBC enjoyed advantages of producing such products innovatively that benefits the future development of China-made cosmetic products.
